Food safety has always been and remains a top priority at Horton Fruit. Our HACCP program was designed and approved by a third-party safety company. Horton Fruit achieves its global food safety objectives by adopting the British Retail Consortium (BRC) standards. The Horton Fruit Food Safety Team continues to develop, monitor, and enforce HACCP programs that enable us to process & pack produce according to each customer’s specific safety requirements. Horton Fruit undergoes an intense, comprehensive audit every year to satisfy the demands of the produce industry.

Our processing operation includes a cutting and washing process that meets or exceeds the industry’s food safety guidelines. We take all the critical food safety steps to ensure that all raw fruit and vegetables are properly handled before they are packed and shipped.
